Outside the Office

I’ve always believed that the best investors don’t just study markets, they study life. Outside of finance, I’m drawn to pursuits that challenge how I think, test my limits, and remind me that growth doesn’t only happen behind a Bloomberg screen.

Chess & Blackjack: Strategy in Motion

I’ve long been fascinated by games that blend logic, risk, and psychology. Chess sharpens my patience and clarity under pressure because every move has intent, every mistake a lesson. Blackjack, on the other hand, is the dance between probability and instinct. It’s about reading the table, trusting the math, and knowing when to walk away. Both have shaped the way I approach decision-making and help keep me measured, using my intuition, and always aware of the odds.

Boxing: The Discipline of Focus

Boxing is my latest form of therapy, as a commitment to mastering both body and mind. There’s something profoundly humbling about stepping into the ring, where every punch thrown teaches rhythm, timing, and restraint. It’s not about fighting someone else; it’s about outpacing who I was yesterday.

Cycling: Clarity in Motion

Cycling has become my reset button. It’s where I find stillness in movement and space to think deeply. Each ride reminds me that progress isn’t always fast, sometimes it’s steady, consistent, and built one kilometer at a time. The rhythm of the road clears my head and brings new ideas into focus.

Golf: The Art of Precision

Golf has a quiet wisdom to it. It rewards patience, discipline, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Every swing is a lesson in humility and self-control, a reminder that mastery is never achieved overnight. I’m still early in my journey with the game, but it’s quickly becoming a space for reflection, strategy, and connection.

Documenting the Journey

As I continue exploring these newly acquired passions of boxing, cycling, and golf, I plan to document the process. Not for perfection, but for progress. I want to capture the lessons, the setbacks, and the small wins that come with pushing personal boundaries.

Because in the end, life, much like investing, is about constant refinement: staying disciplined, thinking long-term, and always being willing to learn.
